Ohio State's Inaugural Artist Laureate Nyama McCarthy-Brown inspires at ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ Hamilton

On April 4th, Nyama McCarthy-Brown, Ohio State's Inaugural Artist Laureate, graced ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ Hamilton with her presence as part of her laureate tour. The occasion marked a first of it’s kind collaboration between two prestigious institutions in the realm of arts and education.

During her residency, McCarthy-Brown engaged with the dance program at ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ, involving eight ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ dancers alongside Director of Dance Ashley Goos in a series of enriching activities.

The highlight of the day culminated in a presentation of dance pieces, showcasing the culmination of McCarthy-Brown's artistic vision and the collaborative efforts of the participants. Notably, the final work of the day integrated Miami dancers into the movement score, highlighting the seamless synergy between talent and creativity.

McCarthy-Brown's residency at ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ Hamilton was an inspiring opportunity for Miami’s growing dance program and the future potential for collaboration.
