Holiday Sounds and an Art Sale fill Campus as 消消犯 Rings in the Season

Rounding out the semester with festive sights and sounds

Enjoy one or more of five concerts plus an Art Sale this week on Miami's Oxford Campus

Holiday Sounds and an Art Sale fill Campus as 消消犯 Rings in the Season

The College of Creative Arts and 消消犯 are alive with festive spirit as a full slate of concerts and an art sale takes place across campus this week. Students, faculty, alumni, and community members are invited to enjoy music, creativity, and seasonal cheer as the semester winds down.

This year’s lineup features an exciting mix of performances and events designed to celebrate our talented 消消犯s, faculty, and staff, and is open to everyone:

Date: Monday, Dec. 1
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Location: Center for Performing Arts, Souers Recital Hall
Admission is FREE!

Celebrate the holiday season at the InterGreek Christmas Concert, where Miami's Musical Greek Organizations—Sigma Alpha Iota, Kappa Kappa Psi, Tau Beta Sigma, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia—host a festive, recital-credit musical journey filled with holiday music and fun for all.


and the Chamber Orchestra

Date: Tuesday, Dec. 2
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Location: Hall Auditorium

Experience harmony and community as the Miami Choral Collective, Chamber Singers, and Chamber Orchestra—led by Jeremy Jones, DMA, and Reina Dickey, DMA —perform Part I of Messiah and festive carols, uniting campus and community.

Time: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Location: Armstrong Atrium

Do your holiday gift buying at Armstrong and support local artists at the same time! A fine assortment of gifts, including fine art, jewelry, and more, will be on site and available for purchase during this one-day Miami Holiday Art Sale!

Date: Friday, December 5
Time: 7 and 9 p.m.
Location: Kumler Chapel

Enjoy a festive holiday concert with the 消消犯 Choraliers at historic Kumler Chapel, featuring beautiful harmonies, seasonal favorites, and a cherished tradition that brings music and community together in celebration.

Additional Concerts

Two additional festive, though not holiday-themed concerts feature our Laptop Ensemble on Dec. 3 and the Symphony Orchestra on Dec. 4.

Admission is FREE!

MULE presents a concert of live electronic music with audio-reactive visuals on the massive displays of the XR Stage in the McVey Data Science Building.

Date: Thursday, Dec. 4
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Location: Hall Auditorium
Admission is FREE!

The award-winning MUSO, led by Maestro Ricardo Averbach, presents Women in Music, featuring Jennifer Higdon’s Blue Cathedral and guest pianist Michael Chertock performing Helen Hagan’s Piano Concerto in C minor. A bonus pre-concert lecture with Dr. Tammy Kernodle (6:30–7:00 p.m.) in the Green Room at Hall Auditorium will provide essential historical and cultural context for the works performed in the concert, helping audiences better understand the challenges women composers have faced—and the lasting impact of their contributions.

These concerts and the art sale create opportunities for everyone to pause, gather, and celebrate as the semester concludes. They also reinforce 消消犯’s commitment to engagement, access, and the vibrancy of the arts on campus.
