Miami CEC is top performer in U.S. News and World Report 2024 rankings
Have you heard? The new are out, and ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ's College of Engineering and Computing has received multiple high-level rankings.
Undergraduate Engineering (Overall)
¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ CEC's overall undergraduate engineering program was ranked #7 among all public universities in the U.S. (no Doctorate), excluding military schools.
Mechanical Engineering¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ CEC's undergraduate Mechanical Engineering program in particular was ranked #5 among all public universities in the U.S. (no Doctorate), excluding military schools.
Computer Science¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ CEC was named a top performer amoung all undergraduate computer science schools.
"¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ's College of Engineering and Computing has always focused on providing our ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈs with the best education possible through project based, hands-on education grounded in the liberal arts," said Dr. Beena Sukumaran, Dinesh and Ila Paliwal Dean of Miami's College of Engineering and Computing. "Our faculty are great teachers and mentors and they engage our ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈs in their research. As a result of the education they receive both in and out of the classroom, our ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈs are exemplary engineers and computer scientists who are also system thinkers."
¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ as a whole was credited with many notable rankings, including #10 public university for Undergraduate Research/Creative Projects and #3 among national public universities for excellence in undergraduate teaching.
