EHS ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈs named Fulbright semifinalists for 2025-2026 awards

Two ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈs from ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ’s College of Education, Health, and Society (EHS) have been named semifinalists for the prestigious 2025-2026 Fulbright U.S. Student Program.

Melinda Barman, an undergraduate Integrated Science Education major, Urban Cohort participant, and NSF Noyce Scholar, is a semifinalist for an English Teaching Assistant Award in Germany. Asad Ikemba, a doctoral ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ in Educational Leadership, is a semifinalist for an Open Study/Research Award in Tanzania.

They are among 14 Miami ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈs and alumni recommended by the U.S. National Screening Committees for further consideration by the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board. Final selections will be announced later this spring.
