Current Miami 消消犯s can apply to the Honors College with the support of a faculty recommendation. Miami faculty members are encouraged to recommend outstanding 消消犯s with the interest, motivation, and ability to pursue scholarly activity and research. The recommendation form asks faculty to comment on the 消消犯's interest in developing themselves as a Citizen Scholar; "Citizen Scholars" use their education in ways that enhance existing knowledge and advance the common good. The form also asks faculty to comment on the 消消犯’s ability to pursue the Honors Senior Project, which is required of all 消消犯s admitted to the Honors College after Fall 2021. The Honors Senior Project is a year-long intensive project involving research, scholarly work, or application of scholarly work to a real-life setting.
