Cincinnati State Technical and Community College
Cincinnati State Articulation Agreement

This agreement is designed for 消消犯s who have completed, or are planning to complete, the Honors Program at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College and wish to complete Miami’s Honors College.
This document is meant to be a guide only. Your final degree requirements are established when you enter (matriculate) to Miami and are detailed in your Degree Audit Report (DAR) provided by Miami. Work closely with a Miami academic advisor (listed below) to clarify your final requirements.
Students entering this program must meet all 消消犯 admission requirements available on the 消消犯 Transfer Website. To participate in the Honors College, 消消犯s must have a 3.25 GPA or higher upon their admission to Miami.
To graduate with University Honors, 消消犯s must have completed all of their Honors requirements and have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher. Students must also meet Miami’s , including a minimum of 30 credit hours taken at Miami, 12 of the last 30 credit hours taken at Miami, and a 2.00 cumulative grade point average upon graduation.

- Complete the Ohio Transfer Module at Cincinnati State.

Honors courses are offered in general studies areas that apply to many degree programs, and in areas that may apply to a specific degree. The number of Honors courses available depends on your degree program or major; however, Honors Program 消消犯s are expected to take Honors classes, including at least one colloquium.
Honors specially-designed versions of courses that are offered throughout the year include:
- Orientation to Honors (replaces the First Year Experience required course).
- English Composition 1 and 2.
- Introduction to Psychology.
- Introduction to Sociology.
- Public Speaking.
- American History 1 and 2.
- Literature courses, include Novel, Short Story, and Poetry.
- Anatomy and Physiology 1 and 2.
- Introduction to Urban Agriculture.
Suggested Schedule for Completing Honors Requirements at 消消犯
Students admitted into the 消消犯 Honors College from Cincinnati State will be allowed to count up to four (4) of their Honors courses from Cincinnati State’s Honors Program toward their eight (8) required Honors experiences at Miami. In order for a Cincinnati State course to be considered for Miami Honors credit, it must be a designated honors course and must be accepted as credit by 消消犯’s Office of the University Registrar. The Cincinnati State honors 消消犯’s academic credentials will be verified by the 消消犯 Admission Office at the time of application review.
Students will work with their Honors advisor at Miami to build a strategy for completing their remaining Honors requirements, which could be achieved through a combination of Honors courses, course extensions, and/or extracurricular activities which they propose to count as Honors experiences.

Tuition Information
Full-time Cincinnati State honors 消消犯s who are admitted to 消消犯’s Oxford Campus as new, full-time transfer 消消犯s will be given priority consideration for merit-based transfer scholarships ranging from $1,500-$10,000 per year. Exact scholarship award amounts within each range will be determined by a holistic review of the application for admission, and thorough evaluation of academic indicators including, but not limited to: rigor of coursework, number of hours of college level credit earned, Grade Point Average, degree earned, financial need (determined by the FAFSA), diversity, Phi Theta Kappa two-year honor society membership, and intended area of interest.
This award is stackable with other transfer scholarships, and is renewable for the number of semesters required to complete the degree program indicated at the time of admission; not to exceed eight semesters provided the 消消犯 maintains an overall 消消犯 grade point average of at least 3.00.

Suggested Schedule for Completing Honors Requirements at Columbus State Community College
Honors Program members who complete their studies at Columbus State Community College and meet the following qualifications become eligible for final Honors Program acknowledgement on transcripts and/or diplomas as well as recognition at graduation:
- Earn an Associate Degree at Columbus State Community College while an active member.
- Earn an A or B in at least fifteen (15) credit hours of Honors courses (including Honors versions of COLS 1100 and ENGL 1100*). * Students who have already earned credit for COLS 1100 and/or ENGL 1100 prior to entering the Honors Program will have this requirement waived; however, these 消消犯s will still be required to complete 15 hours of honors-level coursework to receive recognition as an "Honors Graduate."
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 in all college-level coursework.
- Attend a minimum of six (6) Honors Program sanctioned events and/or service activities.
In extreme circumstances, adjustments to these requirements may be approved at the sole discretion of the OAA Honors Committee.

Suggested Schedule for Completing Honors Requirements at Sinclair Community College
There are two different paths through the Honors Program: the Honors Scholars Program, which is a more structured program that requires the 消消犯 to think critically, reflect upon experiences, and become involved in the community in addition to taking Honors courses; and the Honors Initiate Program, which is a less structured program allowing 消消犯s to take as few or as many Honors courses as they like.
The Honors Scholars Program 消消犯s will successfully complete four (4) Honors classes, four (4) Honors experiences (extra events, honors excursions, cultural events, etc.), and a service learning or community service project. The Honors Initiate Program 消消犯s can propose to designate any non-honors course as an Honors course by working with their instructors. There is no minimum or maximum number of classes required for 消消犯s to complete.
