Bottom Line partners with ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ Regionals Early College Academy

First-generation ECA ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈs will receive guidance through Bottom Line's College Access Program

First-generation high school seniors from under-resourced backgrounds who are enrolled in the Early College Academy at ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ Regionals will benefit greatly from a new partnership with Bottom Line. These ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈs will participate in Bottom Line's College Access Program, working closely with a full-time Bottom Line advisor during their final year of high school to prepare for a successful transition to college life at ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ where they will have the option to enroll in Bottom Line’s College Success Program.

“Bottom Line is excited and honored to be working with both the Early College Academy and ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ Regionals to serve ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈs throughout their post-secondary journey,” said James Cosby, executive director of Bottom Line Ohio. “This partnership is representative of our shared goals of helping first-generation college ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈs benefit from the life-changing impact of a bachelor's degree.”

Early College Academy ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈs can earn college credits at ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ, and their participation in the Access Program allows them to receive personalized guidance and resources tailored to their academic and personal needs. Through a series of one-on-one meetings, Bottom Line's full-time Access advisors will help seniors build balanced college lists, brainstorm, write, and revise college essays, apply for financial aid, identify scholarships, and much more.

“We are delighted about the opportunity of engaging our Early College Academy ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈs in their academic journey guided by the Bottom Line advisors,” said Liza Skryzhevska, Miami Regionals associate dean for academic affairs.

Students who enroll in ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ or in any of Bottom Line’s other partner colleges will transition seamlessly into the College Success Program, starting in fall 2025. This program offers ongoing free one-on-one advising for up to six years of a college ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ’s academic journey, with the goal of helping ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈs graduate and obtain a successful first career. Students who enroll in Bottom Line are more likely to graduate high school, persist through and graduate college, and work locally upon graduation.
