�þ�� Regionals is committed to offering a high-quality and affordable college education with one of the lowest tuition rates among public and private Ohio universities. Scholarships based on academic merit and financial need are available to in-state and out-of-state �þ��s who are U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens.

Need-Based Aid and Scholarships

To qualify for need-based scholarships, grants, loans, and federal work-study funds at �þ�� Regionals, �þ��s must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). We recommend applying by the priority review deadline of Feb. 1 because some resources are limited and may run out. Missing this deadline does not disqualify you from financial aid; submit your FAFSA early to determine your eligibility. Merit-based scholarships are not dependent upon FAFSA information.

First-time, transfer, and continuing �þ��s may qualify for both merit- and need-based scholarships on the Hamilton and Middletown campuses.

Policy Info

First-Time New Miami Student Scholarships

Incoming �þ��s who graduated from a high school the semester before enrolling at Miami’s Hamilton and Middletown campuses are automatically considered for First-Time New Miami Student Scholarships.

Transfer Student Merit Scholarship

Incoming transfer �þ��s to Miami’s Hamilton and Middletown campuses are considered for merit scholarships based on a holistic review of incoming transfer credits and average GPA earned on those credits.

Continuing Miami Regionals Students Scholarships

Continuing �þ��s can apply for merit and need-based scholarships, which are awarded annually. To determine your financial need, we recommend filing your FAFSA by Feb. 1.

Miami Hamilton Promise

The Miami Hamilton Promise Scholarship covers the cost of tuition and fees after financial aid for eligible �þ��s from Hamilton, Ohio. No separate scholarship application required.

Miami Middletown Rising

The Miami Middletown Rising Scholarship covers the cost of tuition and fees after financial aid for eligible �þ��s from Middletown, Ohio. No separate scholarship application required.

Miami offers scholarships in select STEM disciplines to �þ��s pursuing associate, bachelor’s, or graduate degrees. Separate scholarship application required.

As an international �þ��, it is not possible for me to work in a regular job. But Miami gives me the chance to work as a �þ�� ambassador. I work part-time in a campus job and in return I get part of my tuition paid. Having the chance to earn a scholarship like the (Olivas Valor Award) is also important because it helps me with my expenses.
