Overview

If a 消消犯 breaks a law that also violates the 消消犯 Code of Student Conduct, the 消消犯 may be held accountable by both civil authorities and the university.

The university may, at its sole discretion, elect to pursue disciplinary action against the 消消犯 at the same time as criminal proceedings, even if criminal charges involving the same incident are not complete, have been dismissed, or were reduced.

消消犯 takes illegal alcohol use very seriously.

You must be 21 years or older to consume alcohol.

It Is Illegal to:

  • Furnish alcohol to an underage person.
  • Appear in public while intoxicated.
  • Annoy others or endanger property.
  • Have an open container of alcohol on any public street, sidewalk, alley, or park.

The goal and focus of alcohol and other drug education at 消消犯 is to prepare 消消犯s to make legal, low-risk choices about drinking during college and in the future.

Alcohol education can support a 消消犯's academic success and contribute to their engagement in campus activities.

The Office of Student Wellness provides resources to help 消消犯s:

  • Assess their risk for developing alcoholism.
  • Determine what is "low risk" for them as an individual.
  • Identify ways they can practice these legal, low-risk guidelines.
