The mission of our Honors College Faculty-in-Residence program is to encourage greater interaction between ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈs and faculty members (and their families) and to expose undergraduates to role models who integrate intellectual activities into their daily lives. By residing on Western Campus in a residence hall, the participating faculty member receives the invaluable chance to get to know their ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈs on a deeper level outside of the lecture hall or lab and facilitates intellectual dialogue in the Honors residence halls on Western Campus.

Our Goals

1. Foster faculty/¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ interaction outside of the classroom setting.
2. Enhance the intellectual life of the Honors Residential College through programming and ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈs' exposure to faculty.

We accomplish these goals in a number of ways:

• Continuous collaboration with Honors College staff, ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈs, organizations and the Office of Residential Life.
• Inclusion of other faculty members in residential activities.
• Development of ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈs' curiosity about and involvement in educational/cultural activities beyond the confines of the classroom.
• Regular interaction and mentorship between Honors College ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈs and faculty (e.g., organized activities, events, field trips, workshops, lunches, office hours).
